The acting Minister of Foreign Affairs receives the new Singaporean ambassador to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation.

Tripoli, January 19, 2026 (LANA) – The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Government of National Unity, Taher Al-Baour, met today, Monday, at the Ministry headquarters, with Dominic Goh, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Singapore to Libya, in the presence of the Director of the Asia and Australia Department at the Ministry.
Al-Baour congratulated the Ambassador on assuming his duties, wishing him success in his diplomatic mission.
During the meeting, they discussed ways to develop and strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries in several fields, particularly economic, educational, and cultural, and exchanged views on a number of issues of common interest.
Both sides emphasized the importance of continuing coordination and consultation and working to strengthen diplomatic ties in a way that serves the common interests of both countries.
For his part, Ambassador Dominic Goh expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome and the facilitation of procedures, affirming his country's keenness to enhance bilateral cooperation and develop relations with Libya in the coming period.
