Central Bank: The value of oil revenues supplied since the beginning of January amounted to $371 million.

Tripoli, January 15, 2025 (LANA) – The Central Bank of Libya announced today, Thursday, that the value of oil revenues deposited into the bank from the beginning of January until the 15th of the same month amounted to only $371 million.

In a statement, the bank said it continues to provide foreign currency to meet the needs of the Libyan market, aiming to achieve financial stability for the country and ensure the availability of basic commodities in the markets before the start of the holy month of Ramadan, thus contributing to meeting citizens' needs and supporting the stability of economic activity.

The Central Bank had announced on Tuesday that the value of oil revenues deposited into the bank from the beginning of January until the 13th of the same month amounted to only $287 million, noting that total foreign currency sales during the same period reached approximately $1 billion.
