Strengthening Libyan-European cooperation in maritime border management and developing national projects

Tripoli, January 14, 2026 (LANA) – The Maritime Working Group, with representatives from relevant ministries and national bodies, discussed with representatives of the European Union Border Assistance Mission (EUBAM) ways to enhance joint cooperation in supporting maritime border management.
The meeting, held yesterday, Tuesday, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in Tripoli, focused on developing projects in line with national priorities, with particular emphasis on providing technical support and capacity building for relevant Libyan agencies.
