Tripoli, 14 January 2026 (Lana)—The Ambassador of the European Union to Libya, Nicola Orlando, discussed with the Chargé d’Affaires of Saudi Arabia to Libya. Abdullah Al Sulami, in Tripoli, discussed the latest political developments in the country and prospects for supporting international efforts to achieve stability.
Orlando stated in a tweet that the meeting exchanged views on the Libyan situation and agreed on the importance of supporting the UN-facilitated Roadmap as the fundamental framework for strengthening the political process in Libya.
The two parties emphasized the need to unify international efforts to support Libya's stability and preserve its unity to contribute to creating the conditions to achieve lasting peace and advance development and prosperity.
