Tripoli, January 11, 2025 (LANA) – The induction ceremony for new students enrolled in all military colleges began yesterday at the Naval Academy headquarters, marking a first-of-its-kind initiative to launch the general preparatory year.

According to the Naval Studies Academy's media office, this new approach aims to bring all students together under a single educational and training umbrella during their first year. This ensures they receive a unified foundation of knowledge and military training before transitioning to their specific specializations within their respective colleges.

The academy's media office emphasized that the most prominent feature of this phase is a unified training and educational curriculum applicable to all students without exception. It also aims to create a shared environment by integrating students from the Army, Navy, Air Force, Air Defense, and Military Engineering colleges in one location to foster teamwork. Furthermore, the focus is on developing fundamental skills and military discipline as the cornerstone of all specializations.
