Tripoli, January 8, 2026 (LANA) – Libyan Airlines announced the successful completion of heavy maintenance on an Airbus A320 aircraft, which successfully passed its flight test and returned to operational service after all technical work was completed according to approved standards.
In a statement, the company explained that its engineers and technicians carried out the C7 check, a complex and demanding inspection, for the first time in Libya for this aircraft type. This is a significant step for the Libyan civil aviation sector, as such checks were previously performed abroad at a cost exceeding two million US dollars.
The company indicated that this achievement is part of its revitalization plan, one of whose strategic pillars focuses on localizing aircraft maintenance within Libya. This will contribute to reducing operational costs, enhancing reliance on national expertise, and ensuring the sustainability of the airline fleet.
