Tripoli, January 8, 2026 (LANA) – The High National Elections Commission (HNEC) has approved the final results of the municipal council elections for the third group, which includes the municipalities of Benghazi, Qaminis, Al-Abyar, Tukrah, Suluq, Qasr al-Jedi, Sirte, and Sabha, after the completion of all legal and technical stages of the electoral process.

The HNEC Board, in its Decision No. (5), excluded the final results of the Tobruk Municipal Council elections due to the incomplete appeals process, the results of which are expected to be announced next week.
