Benghazi, January 6, 2025 (LANA) – The Chairman of the House of Representatives' Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Committee, Youssef Al-Aqouri, met today with the Greek Consul General to Libya, Athanasios Anastopoulos, to discuss ways to facilitate travel procedures between the two countries and address any problems Libyan citizens may face while traveling.

During the meeting, held at the House of Representatives headquarters in Benghazi, the two sides discussed mechanisms for strengthening joint coordination between the two countries in the coming period, the importance of parliamentary diplomacy in addressing issues of common interest, and contributing to supporting security and stability in the region.

Al-Aqouri praised the deep historical relations between Libya and Greece, a neighboring country, and reiterated the importance of Greece's role in supporting stability in Libya and the Mediterranean region.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides agreed to continue joint coordination to enhance rapprochement and develop and strengthen trade and economic relations between Libya and Greece.
