Tripoli, January 5, 2025 (LANA) – The Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Political Affairs, Stephanie Khoury, met today with the Deputy Head of Mission of the Netherlands, Helene Baartmans, to discuss the latest political developments in Libya.

According to a statement published by the UN Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) on its website, the two sides reviewed the latest developments in the structured dialogue and its upcoming sessions.

Khoury and Baartmans also stressed the importance of preserving the unity and independence of the judiciary and the High National Elections Commission.

At the end of the meeting, Khoury commended the Kingdom of the Netherlands for its continued support of UNSMIL's efforts to advance the Libyan political process under Libyan leadership.
