Tripoli, January 1, 2026 (LANA) – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Government of National Unity expressed its deep concern regarding the events in the Taiwan Strait, given the threat they pose to international peace and security and the potential repercussions for the stability of the wider Indo-Pacific region.

In a statement issued today, Thursday, the Ministry reiterated its commitment to the One China principle and categorically rejected interference in any form in the internal affairs of states, emphasizing the importance of national sovereignty and territorial integrity, and supporting regional and international security and stability.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation affirmed its commitment to peace and stability as fundamental pillars for achieving global security and prosperity.
