Tripoli, December 29, 2025 (LANA) – The Head of the Presidential Council, Mohammed Al-Menfi, received a telegram of condolence from the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, on the death of the Chief of the General Staff of the Libyan Army, Field Marshal Mohammed Al-Haddad, and his companions, following a tragic accident while returning from an official mission to Ankara.

The telegram read:

"I received with deep sorrow and sadness the news of the death of Field Marshal Mohammed Al-Haddad, Chief of the General Staff of the Libyan Army, and his colleagues, following a tragic accident while returning from an official mission to Ankara.

While extending to you my sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathy, I pray to God Almighty to grant them His abundant mercy, admit them to His spacious Paradise, and grant you, their families, and the brotherly Libyan people patience and solace in this great loss."
