Tripoli, December 28, 2025 (LANA) – The Anti-Corruption Committee of the High Council of State met today, Sunday, with the Head of the Administrative Control Authority, Abdullah Qaderbouh, and members of the Authority to discuss a number of joint files related to combating corruption and strengthening oversight.
The meeting, held at the Council's headquarters in Tripoli, addressed issues of an oversight nature, information exchange, a review of the legislative framework governing anti-corruption efforts, mechanisms for enhancing governance and transparency, monitoring public spending, and procedures for closing final accounts according to the Authority's established plans and in line with the phases of closing these accounts. The meeting also discussed strengthening oversight of appointments to leadership positions in the state to ensure fairness and equal opportunities for applicants.
The meeting also reviewed the data from the 54th annual report of the Administrative Control Authority for 2024, including the measures taken by the Authority in accordance with the legislation governing its functions. This included a statement on the state's financial, economic, and administrative situation, aiming to achieve comprehensive public oversight that allows citizens the right to access information from documented sources.
