Arab leaders offer condolences to Libya on the death of the Libyan army's chief of staff and his companions.

Tripoli, December 25, 2025 (LANA) – The Head of the Presidential Council, Mohammed Al-Menfi, received messages of condolence and sympathy from a number of Arab leaders on the death of the Chief of Staff of the Libyan Army, Lieutenant General Mohammed Al-Haddad, and his companions, following the plane crash near the Turkish capital, Ankara.
Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar, sent a message of condolence on the death of the Chief of Staff of the Libyan Army, Lieutenant General Mohammed Al-Haddad, and his companions, praying to God Almighty to grant them His mercy and forgiveness and to grant patience and solace to their families.
The President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, also sent a message of condolence expressing his sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathy to the Libyan leadership and people on this tragic loss.
Al-Menfi also received two similar telegrams of condolence from Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister of the UAE and Chief of the Presidential Court. In their messages, they expressed their deep sorrow and sympathy with the Libyan people, praying to God Almighty to grant the deceased and his companions His abundant mercy and to grant their families patience and solace.
The President of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, Mohamed Ould Cheikh Ghazouani, also sent a telegram of condolence to the President of the Presidential Council, expressing his profound sadness at the death of the Chief of Staff and his companions. He offered his sincere condolences and sympathy to the Libyan government and people and to the families of the victims, praying that God grant them eternal peace in Paradise.
In the same context, Al-Menfi received a telegram of condolence from the President of the State of Palestine, Mahmoud Abbas, in which he affirmed his solidarity with Libya in its grief over this tragic loss, expressing his condolences to the Libyan people, its leadership, the Libyan army, and the families of the victims, and praying to God to grant them His mercy and to protect Libya and its people from all harm.
