The Turkish ambassador, during his meeting with Al-Menfi, confirmed the continuation of investigations into the crash of the Haddad plane and the submission of a full report on the incident.

Tripoli, December 25, 2025 (LANA) – Turkish Ambassador to Libya, Güven Begiç, affirmed that Turkish authorities are continuing their investigation into the plane crash that killed the Chief of Staff of the Libyan Army and his companions, and will submit a full report on the incident upon completion of the ongoing investigations.

This came during a meeting held today, Thursday, in Tripoli between the Head of the Presidential Council, Mohammed al-Menfi, and the Turkish Ambassador to Libya and his accompanying delegation.

The Turkish Ambassador conveyed the condolences of the Turkish leadership to al-Menfi and the Libyan people for the tragic loss of life in the accident that claimed the lives of the Chief of Staff of the Libyan Army, the Chief of Staff of the Ground Forces, and several of their companions. He expressed his deep sorrow and grief over this painful event, offering his sincere sympathy to the families of the victims and wishing them patience and solace.
