Ramallah, December 24, 2025 (LANA) – Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas offered his condolences to the President of the Presidential Council and the Prime Minister of the National Unity Government on the death of Libyan Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General Mohammed Ali al-Haddad, and four of his colleagues and companions who were aboard the plane that crashed after taking off from Ankara Airport.
In his two telegrams of condolence, President Abbas said, “We share your grief over this great loss. We extend to you, and through you to the brotherly Libyan people, the esteemed government, the valiant Libyan army, and the families of the victims, our deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathy. We pray to God Almighty to have mercy on the deceased and grant them paradise, and to protect you and your people from all harm.”
