Tripoli, December 24, 2025 (LANA) – The Head of the Presidential Council and Supreme Commander of the Libyan Army offered his condolences to all the people of Libya on the tragic loss of Chief of the General Staff, Lieutenant General Mohammed Ali Al-Haddad, Chief of Staff of the Ground Forces and member of Military Committee 55, Lieutenant General Al-Fitouri Khalifa Ghraibil, Director of the Military Industries Corporation, Brigadier General Mahmoud Al-Qatawi, and their companions, following a tragic accident while returning to Tripoli from an official mission to Turkey.

A statement issued in the name of the Supreme Commander declared three days of national mourning, with flags to be flown at half-staff at all state institutions and military units.
