Field Marshal Haftar offers his condolences to the officers and members of the Libyan Armed Forces on the death of Lieutenant General Mohammed Al-Haddad

Tripoli, December 23, 2025 (LANA) – Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan National Army, offered his condolences to all officers and personnel of the Libyan Armed Forces on the death of Lieutenant General Mohammed al-Haddad, who passed away Tuesday evening following a plane crash in Turkey.
In a telegram of condolence, Field Marshal Haftar stated, "The Armed Forces have lost one of its men who performed his military duty with utmost dedication and responsibility, shouldering the trust placed in him during critical periods in the nation's history and prioritizing national values above all other interests."
In the telegram, Field Marshal Haftar expressed his deep sorrow at this tragic loss, offering his condolences to the family, relatives, tribe, city, and the Libyan people of the deceased. He prayed to God Almighty to grant the deceased His abundant mercy and to grant his family and loved ones patience and solace.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces also offered his condolences to the Joint Military Command (5+5) on the loss of Lieutenant General Al-Fitouri Gharibil, a member of the committee who was among those missing in the incident, expressing his deepest condolences to his family and loved ones.
