The Turkish Chief of the General Staff and the Minister of Defense meet with Haddad in Ankara

Ankara, December 23, 2025 (LANA) – Turkish Chief of the General Staff, Selçuk Bayraktaroğlu, met with his Libyan counterpart, Lieutenant General Mohammed al-Haddad, in Ankara on Tuesday. Anadolu Agency reported that Bayraktaroğlu received al-Haddad at the General Staff headquarters with official ceremonies, noting that the two sides held a meeting after the reception, away from the media.

Turkish Defense Minister Yaşar Güler also met with al-Haddad, who is visiting Ankara at the invitation of Chief of the General Staff Selçuk Bayrakdaroğlu, according to the Turkish Ministry of Defense.

The ministry stated in a post on the Turkish social media platform "Ins Social" that the Turkish Chief of the General Staff and the Commander of the Land Forces, Metin Tokel, also attended the meeting.
