Shakshak discusses with the head of the oil corporation the overall performance of the corporation and its subsidiaries

Tripoli, December 23, 2025 (LANA) – The Head of the Audit Bureau, Khaled Shakshak, met with the Chairman of the National Oil Corporation (NOC), Masoud Suleiman, to discuss the overall performance of the NOC and its subsidiaries. The meeting, which was also attended by directors of relevant departments and offices within the Bureau, addressed the NOC's overall performance, the progress of work in its subsidiaries, and financial, administrative, and technical aspects. Discussions also covered compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and legislation, with the aim of strengthening institutional discipline and improving the management of public resources.

Furthermore, the meeting addressed mechanisms for developing institutional performance, addressing existing shortcomings, and reinforcing the principles of transparency, accountability, and good governance. This aims to enhance performance efficiency and improve the quality of work within the NOC and its subsidiaries.

During the meeting, the Head of the Audit Bureau emphasized the importance of continued coordination and cooperation between the Bureau and the NOC. This cooperation supports the Bureau's oversight role and contributes to achieving national objectives related to the oil sector, which is considered one of the most vital sectors in the country.

For his part, the head of the institution reviewed the efforts made to develop work and improve performance, as well as the challenges facing operations, emphasizing the institution's commitment to strengthening financial and administrative discipline and adhering to the observations and recommendations of the Audit Bureau.
