The House Planning Committee discusses the state's general budget for 2026 with (Shakshak)

Tripoli, December 23, 2025 (LANA) – The Planning, Finance, and Public Budget Committee of the House of Representatives met today, Tuesday, with the Head of the Audit Bureau for the Western Region, Khaled Shakshak, to discuss the state's general budget for 2026.

This meeting was held at the Tripoli branch of the House of Representatives and was chaired by the Committee Chairman, Dr. Omar Tantoush. Also present were the Committee Rapporteur, Amer Omran, and members Salem Qanan, Abdulwahab Zouliya, and Fahmi Al-Tawati, as well as several department directors from the Audit Bureau.

According to the spokesperson for the House of Representatives, Abdullah Blihaq, the discussions focused on the import budget, the extent of public companies' contribution to the state treasury, and establishing a mechanism for cooperation and coordination between the House of Representatives and the Audit Bureau.
