The Electoral Commission announces the preliminary results for the third group of the municipal council elections

Tripoli, December 23, 2025 (LANA) – The High National Elections Commission announced today, Tuesday, the preliminary results of the third group of municipal council elections for 2025, which included the municipalities of Tobruk, Qasr al-Jedi, Benghazi, Tukrah, Qaminis, Suluq, Al-Abyar, Sirte, and Sabha.

The Commission explained that this decision came after the Commission's Counting and Statistics Center completed entering all the results forms received from the electoral administration offices, in accordance with the highest standards of transparency and accuracy, and after the lower courts ruled on the electoral appeals. With this, the Commission marks another milestone in the democratic process and reaffirms its ongoing commitment to upholding the will of the people.
