Shakshak and Naji Issa review the Audit Bureau's observations on the Central Bank's performance

Tripoli, December 22, 2025 (LANA) – The Head of the Libyan Audit Bureau, Mr. Khaled Shakshak, met today, Monday, with the Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, Naji Mohammed Issa, to review the Bureau's observations on the Central Bank's performance and to examine key indicators and results.

The Central Bank stated that this expanded meeting, attended by department directors and specialists from both sides, comes within the framework of strengthening institutional cooperation and integrating roles between the two institutions.

The meeting addressed several aspects related to performance development and improving work mechanisms, in line with the bank's strategic objectives and enhancing its institutional efficiency. It also discussed the Bureau's observations on the approval of the financial statements for the years 2017-2024 and the requirements for expediting their approval, as well as the cooperation of the Central Bank of Libya's departments in this regard.

According to the bank, the meeting concluded with an emphasis on the importance of joint work to serve the public interest, ensure smooth procedures, raise performance levels, foster mutual trust between the two institutions, and support all efforts aimed at achieving shared objectives.
