The "Lightning Strike" project has been launched to enhance the combat capabilities of the units in the Western Coast Military Region.

Tripoli, December 21, 2025 (LANA) – The Western Coast Military Region launched the “Lightning Strike” project today, Sunday, as part of efforts to enhance coordination, operational efficiency, and combat capabilities of the region's personnel.

The launch was attended by the Deputy Chief of the General Staff and Commander of the Western Coast Military Region, Lieutenant General Dr. Salah al-Din al-Namroush, the Head of the Organization and Administration Authority, the Deputy Commander of the Western Coast Military Region, a representative from the Moral Guidance Department of the Libyan Army, and a number of officers and specialists.

The project activities included a detailed presentation of the approved maps and plans via smart screens. The implementation phases, operational mechanisms, and project objectives were also reviewed to ensure the highest levels of readiness and organization.

Following the presentation, official authorization was obtained from the Deputy Chief of the General Staff and Commander of the Western Coast Military Region, Lieutenant General Salah al-Din al-Namroush, to commence the “Lightning Strike” project according to the established plan.

This project comes within the framework of raising the level of coordination and operational efficiency, enhancing readiness, and supporting the capabilities of units affiliated with the Western Coast Military Region, thus contributing to the efficient and disciplined execution of assigned tasks.
