Dabaiba is following up with the leaders of the National Oil Corporation on efforts to enhance and sustain production operations.

Tripoli, December 14, 2025 (LANA) – Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdulhamid Dbeibah, stated that the oil sector is a fundamental pillar of the national economy, and that maintaining and improving production levels requires a continuous commitment from all stakeholders.

This came during a meeting held by Dbeibah on Sunday in Tripoli with leaders of the National Oil Corporation (NOC) and several of its department directors to follow up on the corporation's operations and its efforts to enhance and sustain production.

The Prime Minister stressed the necessity for the NOC to continue its strategic efforts and work with international partners to boost production and ensure its sustainability.

The meeting addressed the corporation's efforts to develop governance and implement transparency standards in all operations to ensure efficiency and accountability. During the meeting, the Prime Minister also listened to the Audit Bureau's observations, emphasizing the importance of effective oversight and close monitoring of the corporation's operations.

The meeting was attended by the Minister of State for Communication and Political Affairs, Walid Al-Lafi; the Head of the Executive Team for Presidential Initiatives and Strategic Projects, Mustafa Al-Manea; the Audit Bureau representative, Abdulbasit Jarbua; and the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Economy, Suhail Abu Shiha.
