Agila welcomes the successful electoral process in several municipalities.

Al-Qubba, 14 December 2025 (Lana): Speaker of the House of Representatives, Agila Saleh, welcomed the successful municipal elections held in several Libyan municipalities.
In a statement issued yesterday, Agila said the elections were conducted in a well-organized and secure environment, reflecting the high level of awareness and responsibility among citizens, and were a true embodiment of their free will in choosing their local representatives within a sound legal and constitutional framework.
Agila commended the significant efforts of the High National Elections Commission in preparing, supervising, and implementing the elections and its professional commitment and adherence to precise technical and legal standards, which contributed to ensuring the integrity and transparency of the electoral process and its completion according to the established frameworks.
He also commended the responsible national role played by the Ministry of the Interior and all security agencies in securing polling stations and protecting the electoral process, providing a safe environment that enabled citizens to exercise their right to vote freely and confidently.
He emphasized that the success of the municipal elections is a fundamental pillar in supporting the path of administrative decentralization, strengthening local governance, and empowering municipalities to perform their service and development duties, in line with the aspirations of the Libyan people for stability, building a state of institutions, and establishing the rule of law.
He also reiterated the House of Representatives' full support for all electoral processes, considering them the constitutional and legal means to renew legitimacy, achieve political stability, and move towards security, development, and prosperity throughout the country.
