Al-Juwaifi meets with deputy German Ambassador.

Tripoli, December 12, 2025 (LANA) – The Minister of Local Government in the Government of National Unity, Abdul-Shafi Al-Juwaifi, met with the Deputy German Ambassador to Libya, Daniel Schmschke, and the Embassy's Cooperation Officer, Christine Graikochia, to discuss ways to enhance cooperation between the two sides in the areas of local governance and support for decentralization.

The Minister reviewed the Ministry's efforts to improve municipal performance and enhance the level of services, emphasizing the importance of international partnerships in developing institutional capacities and supporting local development programs.

For his part, the Deputy Ambassador affirmed his country's commitment to continuing existing cooperation, while Graikochia reiterated the Embassy's cooperation team's readiness to provide technical support for current and future projects.

The two sides discussed the projects implemented within the joint cooperation programs, and plans to expand initiatives aimed at raising the efficiency of municipal performance and building capacities, while exchanging views on future strategies and mechanisms to enhance partnership to achieve tangible results that support decentralization efforts and improve public services.
