Al-Baour discusses Libyan-American relations and developments in the country's political situation with Berndt

Tripoli, December 10, 2025 (LANA) – The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Government of National Unity, Taher Al-Baour, met today, Wednesday, with the Chargé d'Affaires of the US Embassy in Libya, Jeremy Berndt, to discuss bilateral relations and developments in the Libyan political situation.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed bilateral relations between Libya and the United States and ways to develop and enhance cooperation in various fields. They also discussed developments in the political situation in Libya and ways to support the government's efforts to consolidate security and stability.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, both sides emphasized at the conclusion of the meeting the importance of continuing consultations and coordination on regional and international issues of common interest.
