Tripoli, 10 December 2025 (Lana) Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary-General and UN Resident Coordinator in Libya, Ulrika Richardson, participated yesterday in Tripoli in the International Anti-Corruption Day commemoration hosted by the Administrative Control Authority.
In her remark, she underscored that corruption undermines people’s equal access to services and erodes public trust.
“Corruption hampers needed reforms and weakens the state and its national sovereignty,” she added.
She further stressed that “young people are at the heart of the fight against corruption. Their energy, creativity, and leadership can shape systems that are more transparent and accountable.”
She also stressed that the UN remains committed to supporting Libya in strengthening institutions and building a future where integrity guides the state and all spheres of public life.
