Tripoli, December 4, 2025 (LANA) – The United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) has extended invitations to selected participants in the structured dialogue.

A source within the UN mission told the Libyan News Agency (LANA) that the mission began inviting the selected parties to participate in the dialogue on Wednesday.

According to the source, the mission aims to invite 120 Libyan figures representing municipalities, political parties, universities, technical and security institutions, and various segments of society.

The structured dialogue aims to provide a platform for various components of Libyan society to study and address fundamental issues in the areas of governance, the economy, security, national reconciliation, and human rights, and to contribute to formulating public policy recommendations and building consensus around a shared vision for addressing the long-standing causes of the conflict.

The dialogue also aims to create the conditions for holding presidential and parliamentary elections and to support efforts to unify institutions and improve governance and accountability.
