The UN mission in Libya (UNSMIL) said in a statement on Sunday that Al-Hashri is suspected of having committed, ordered, or overseen crimes against humanity and war crimes, including murder, torture, rape, and sexual violence, in Libya between February 2015 and early 2020.
The mission urged the Libyan authorities and all UN member states to cooperate fully with the International Criminal Court (ICC), in accordance with the Security Council resolution referring the situation in Libya.
