Libyan Audit Bureau Signs a Memorandum of Understanding with the Arab Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions.

Jeddah, December 4, 2025 (LANA) – The Libyan Audit Bureau signed a memorandum of understanding with the heads of the supreme audit institutions that are members of the Arab Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (ARABOSAI), to enhance oversight work within the organization.

The memorandum, signed on the sidelines of the 16th ARABOSAI General Assembly meetings in Jeddah, includes strengthening bilateral and multilateral cooperation between supreme audit institutions and exchanging professional and technical expertise in the fields of auditing and oversight.

The memorandum stipulates the development of modern oversight methodologies and their alignment with best international practices, as well as coordinating regional efforts to improve oversight performance within member states.

• The memorandum aims to launch joint training and development programs and initiatives, standardize certain oversight practices among Arab institutions, and strengthen the organizational and professional role of the General Secretariat.

According to the Bureau, this step comes in support of the role played by the Libyan Audit Bureau as the body responsible for managing the General Secretariat of the AFROSAI-Arab Organization.
