Tripoli, December 3, 2025 (LANA) – The Minister of Interior of the Government of National Unity, Major General Emad Al-Tarabulsi, met today, Wednesday, with the Chargé d'Affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Libya, Liu Jian, and his accompanying delegation to discuss strengthening security cooperation between the two countries.

According to the Ministry of Interior, the meeting addressed ways to enhance security cooperation between Libya and China and reviewed a number of joint files, most notably developing the technical capabilities of the Libyan Ministry of Interior and supporting training and qualification programs in specialized security fields.

The Chargé d'Affaires expressed his appreciation for the warm reception, praising the efforts exerted by the Ministry of Interior to improve the level of security. He emphasized that the noticeable improvement in the security situation in the capital, Tripoli, contributed to the resumption of the Chinese Embassy's operations from within Libya.

The meeting also addressed the issue of securing the return of Chinese companies to work in Libya and the importance of exchanging visits between the two sides to enhance joint cooperation and open broader horizons for partnership in the security and development fields.
