Tripoli, December 1, 2025 (LANA) – The President of the High Council of State, Mohamed Takala, met today, Monday, with the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Libya, Hanna Tetteh, to discuss the latest political developments in the country.

During the meeting, they discussed the latest political developments in Libya and the efforts being made to advance the political process towards elections and lasting stability.

The meeting also addressed the UN roadmap for a political solution in Libya and its implementation mechanisms to ensure a democratic path that meets the aspirations of the Libyan people. Additionally, they reviewed the agreements reached between the High Council of State's and the House of Representatives' committees regarding the selection of candidates for sovereign positions.
