Dbaiba meets with AFRICOM Commander.

Tripoli, December 1, 2025 (WAL) – Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdelhamid Dbaiba, met today in Tripoli with the Commander of the US Africa Command (AFRICOM), Dagvin Anderson, to discuss strengthening military cooperation between Libya and the United States, focusing on training, equipment, and capacity-building programs.
The Prime Minister's Media Office reported that Dbaiba emphasized during the meeting the importance of supporting the military through effective partnerships and high-quality training programs, stressing the government's commitment to enhancing security and stability and combating threats in the region.
Anderson affirmed AFRICOM's commitment to providing support, praising the progress achieved in joint training and cooperation programs and the importance of continued coordination to serve regional security.
The meeting was attended by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defense, Abdul Salam Al-Zoubi, the Chief of the General Staff, Lieutenant General Mohammed Al-Haddad, the Deputy Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General Salah Al-Namroush, and the Director of Military Intelligence, Major General Mahmoud Hamza.
