Juwaifi meets with Mayors of Greater Tripoli.

Tripoli, November 30, 2025 (LANA) – The Minister of Local Government in the Government of National Unity, Abdul-Shafi Al-Juwaifi, met today, Sunday, with the mayors of the municipalities of Greater Tripoli (Tripoli Center, Tajoura, Souq al-Jum’a, Abu Salim, Hay al-Andalus, Qasr Bin Ghashir, Asbi’a, Al-Sayeh, Souq al-Khamis, Al-Awata, and Al-Qarabulli) to follow up on preparations for the annual forum of the Supreme Council for Local Administration. The meeting was also attended by the Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Local Administration, Nasr Al-Mahtout.

According to the Ministry’s official page, the meeting reviewed a number of files and issues related to organizing and developing work in the local government sector, in addition to following up on proposals submitted by the municipalities to improve performance and enhance their role in providing services to citizens.

Al-Juwaifi discussed with the mayors the most prominent challenges, obstacles and difficulties they face, and the work to develop practical and sustainable solutions to resolve bottlenecks in a way that contributes to supporting the efforts of municipal councils and raising the level of services within their municipalities.
