Strengthening Libyan-Algerian Cooperation in the Energy Sector.

Tripoli, November 30, 2025 (LANA) – A team from the National Oil Corporation (NOC) held a meeting today, Sunday, with a delegation from the Algerian company Sonatrach to strengthen cooperation between Libya and Algeria in the areas of oil laboratories and conducting joint technical studies.

The Ministry explained that the meeting discussed the recently signed agreement between the Libyan Oil Research Center and specialized laboratories in Algeria, in addition to discussing partnership opportunities in refinery maintenance, pipeline projects, solar energy, and developing national expertise to work in international organizations. The meeting also reviewed Sonatrach's latest work in the Ghadames Basin.

Both sides emphasized the importance of exchanging expertise and technical visits to enhance integration between the two countries and propel the energy sector towards broader horizons.
