Tripoli, November 30, 2025 (LANA) – Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dbaiba, stated that holding the first forum for Libyan diplomatic mission heads in Tripoli represents an important step towards consolidating institutional coordination between state institutions at home and their representatives abroad, and enhancing Libya's international presence at a time that demands the highest levels of responsibility and discipline.

This came during his speech at the opening of the forum today, with the participation of a number of ministers, ambassadors, and heads of diplomatic missions accredited to Libya. He explained that since assuming its duties, the government has adopted a balanced foreign policy based on equitable openness and building relationships founded on shared interests and respect for sovereignty. This has contributed to Libya's transition from an arena of conflict to a state that maintains equal and balanced relations with various international powers.

Dbaiba reviewed the most prominent achievements of diplomatic efforts over the past years, noting the increased presence of diplomatic missions operating in Libya and the return of several missions that resumed their activities from Tripoli after years of suspension. He also mentioned the return of a number of international organizations to conduct their work from within the country, as well as the improvement in air traffic and the resumption of visa issuance, which has reconnected Libya with its regional and international environment.

Al-Dbaiba also highlighted Libya's success in recovering more than 20 smuggled artifacts, its hosting of prominent international events such as the Libya Stabilization Conference, the Mediterranean Forum on Migration, and the consultative meeting of Arab foreign ministers, Libya's assumption of the presidency of the Arab Group at the United Nations, its contribution to supporting political processes in Chad and Sudan, its hosting of the headquarters of the African Investment Bank, and its support for the African Union's bid for membership in the G20.

The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity announced the launch of a new external communication program based on cultural diplomacy and soft power tools. This program aims to empower Libyan embassies to promote Libyan culture and build bridges of international cooperation. He considered the opening of the Libyan National Museum a key milestone in this initiative.

Al-Dbaiba concluded his remarks by emphasizing that ambassadors are Libya's primary representatives and image to the world. He indicated that this gathering would become an annual tradition, strengthening coordination between domestic and international efforts and unifying the state's message towards a prosperous future.
