Delegation of HoR meets with Russian State Duma Speaker.

Tripoli, November 28, 2025 (LANA) – A delegation from the House of Representatives, headed by Representative Zayed Hadiya, met with the Speaker of the Russian State Duma, V. Davnakov, at the Duma headquarters in Moscow, according to a statement issued today, Friday, by the House of Representatives spokesperson, Abdullah Blihaq.
During the meeting, both sides emphasized the importance of developing prospects for parliamentary cooperation between Libya and Russia. They discussed a number of issues of common interest, primarily supporting institutional stability in Libya and strengthening coordination between the two countries' legislative bodies.
The two sides also stressed the need to activate communication channels between parliamentary committees and expand cooperation in political and legislative areas, thereby strengthening a strategic partnership that serves the interests of both the Libyan and Russian peoples.
This meeting is part of a series of meetings the House of Representatives delegation is holding with senior officials in the State Duma, including the heads of the International Affairs, Security, and Anti-Corruption Committees, as well as several committee chairs in the Russian Federation Council.
It is worth noting that the House of Representatives delegation currently visiting Russia includes MPs Nasser bin Nafea, Al-Sadiq Al-Kahili, and Faraj Al-Safty, and is headed by MP Zayed Hadiya, as part of efforts to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries, particularly in the parliamentary sphere.
