Tripoli, November 27, 2025 (LANA) – Representatives of the Sovereign Positions Committees of the High Council of State and the House of Representatives signed an agreement today, Thursday, regulating the mechanism for selecting the head and members of the High National Elections Commission, and the heads of the National Anti-Corruption Authority and the Administrative Control Authority.

The signing ceremony, which took place in the capital, Tripoli, was attended by the UN Special Representative for Political Affairs, Stephanie Khoury.

The High Council of State explained on its official page that this agreement complements the understandings reached by the two committees and strengthens the path of national consensus and a political solution, following a series of intensive meetings and consultations between the two sides.
