Tripoli, November 24, 2025 (LANA) – The ninth meeting of the High Preparatory Committee for the Libyan Diplomacy Conference was held today at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in Tripoli, chaired by the Director of the Administrative and Financial Affairs Department, Abdulhakim Ghaith.

According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meeting was held as part of preparations for the first annual forum for Libyan diplomats, scheduled to take place on November 30 and December 1, 2025, in Tripoli. This forum represents a significant national milestone in the development of political and diplomatic work and in strengthening Libya's presence at the regional and international levels.

The forum aims to enhance the efficiency of Libyan diplomatic personnel, develop operational mechanisms within diplomatic missions, and strengthen communication and coordination between Libyan embassies and consulates abroad and state institutions at home. This will contribute to supporting Libya's diplomatic role and activating its presence in international forums.

The forum is scheduled to include a select group of Libyan diplomats, along with a number of experts and officials in the fields of international relations and international law. High-level Arab and African figures will also participate, and representatives of foreign missions accredited to Libya will be in attendance, reflecting Libya's commitment to expanding its regional cooperation and building effective strategic partnerships.

The forum's program includes a series of specialized dialogue sessions and presentations of research papers prepared by Libyan missions abroad. These papers address foreign policy issues, ways to enhance diplomatic performance and develop work methodologies within embassies, as well as practical proposals to strengthen Libya's representation on the international stage.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation affirmed that this event represents a pivotal step in rebuilding Libyan diplomacy and consolidating Tripoli's growing role as a platform for regional and international openness and cooperation.
