Libya and Morocco Discuss Relations Between the Two Countries.

Rabat, November 24, 2025 (LANA) – A delegation from the Ministry of Economy and Trade met with several officials from the Moroccan Ministry of Industry and Trade in Rabat to discuss mechanisms for establishing a direct shipping line to enhance trade cooperation between the two countries.
This meeting took place during a visit by a Libyan economic delegation to Morocco, headed by Shadhar Al-Sayed, Director of the International Cooperation Office. The delegation also included Fathi Al-Amin, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Misrata Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Mohamed Al-Habashi, Director of Marketing and Promotion at the Export Development Authority; Ibrahim Al-Shaab, Commercial Attaché at the Libyan Embassy in Morocco; Muath Al-Naili, responsible for the Morocco file; and Abdullah Al-Jedi, Head of the Economic Committee at the International Cooperation Office.
The ministry stated that the delegation held a meeting with Zahoui Youssef, Director of International Trade Relations at the Moroccan Ministry of Industry and Trade, and Mayssa Zibakh, Head of the Department of Trade Relations with African Countries. During the meeting, they reviewed the trade agreements signed between the two countries and discussed ways to activate them, in addition to addressing the challenges facing Libyan businesspeople and exporters.
The ministry confirmed that the Moroccan side expressed the readiness of the Moroccan Ministry of Industry and Trade to coordinate with relevant authorities regarding visa procedures and shipping lines, as well as to update the joint memorandum of understanding to ensure the effective implementation of trade agreements between the two countries.
