Musa Al-Koni meets with Tetteh and Ghassan Salama in Muscat

Muscat, November 23, 2025 (LANA) – Presidential Council member Musa Al-Koni met today, Sunday, in the Omani capital, Muscat, with the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General and Head of the UN Support Mission in Libya, Hanna Tetteh, the Lebanese Minister of Culture, and former UN Special Representative to Libya, Ghassan Salama.

Al-Koni stated on his official page that the meeting discussed the latest political developments in Libya and ways to support UN efforts to advance the political process and achieve stability. He emphasized the need to unify efforts and intensify international support to ensure progress in the political process towards holding comprehensive elections and strengthening the national reconciliation project.

According to the same source, Tetteh reiterated the Mission's commitment to continuing coordination with various Libyan parties to support peaceful solutions, while Salama called for building upon the progress achieved in recent years to bridge differences and solidify the dialogue process, ultimately leading to the elections that the Libyan people aspire to.
