Deportation of Illegal Immigrants via Sabha and Kufra.

Sabha, November 22, 2025 (LANA) – The branch of the Anti-Illegal Immigration Agency in Al-Shati deported 91 Nigerian immigrants via Sabha International Airport, after transferring them from the agency's branch in Brak Al-Shati to the Sabha detention center.

This step comes within the framework of ongoing efforts to regulate the status of undocumented immigrants within Libyan territory and ensure the application of relevant laws, as part of the procedures overseen by the agency to address residency violations and control illegal movements related to irregular migration.

The agency's branches continue to carry out deportation operations in accordance with legal procedures targeting foreigners who commit legal violations or security offenses, in addition to cases where medical examinations confirm they are suffering from serious or contagious diseases, as well as individuals involved in smuggling operations or attempts at illegal crossings.

In this context, the Kufra branch carried out a large-scale deportation operation involving 155 migrants of Chadian nationality, after all necessary legal procedures were completed.

The operation was conducted under the direct supervision of the head of the agency's branches in the southeast and central regions, and the oversight of the acting head of the Kufra branch, Brigadier General Rashid Al-Sharif, who commended the efforts of the branch members and the implementation teams, emphasizing their responsible commitment to fulfilling their national duty.

Al-Sharif also affirmed the continuation of efforts to ensure the regularization of the status of violators in accordance with Libyan laws.
