The Libyan Investment Authority signs a cooperation agreement with ABC Bank Bahrain

Tripoli, November 20, 2025 (LANA) – The Libyan Investment Authority (LIA) signed an agreement with ABC Bank Bahrain aimed at enhancing cooperation, a strategic step to strengthen the partnership between the two parties.
The LIA explained that the agreement includes a set of provisions that will contribute to protecting the LIA's assets, in addition to developing the performance of its investment portfolio through the ABC Bank Group.
The LIA added that this cooperation reflects both parties' commitment to strengthening governance and achieving best practices in investment management to ensure sustainability and growth.
The Chairman of the Board and CEO of the LIA, Ali Mahmoud Hassan, stated that signing this agreement represents an important step in implementing UN Security Council Resolution 2769, which allows the LIA to reinvest its uninvested cash reserves.
He affirmed that the LIA is committed to working within the framework of Security Council resolutions and cooperating with ABC Bank Bahrain to ensure asset protection and maximize returns in the interest of the Libyan people.
Both parties emphasized that this agreement represents a new phase of constructive cooperation, serving mutual interests and contributing to the achievement of the LIA's long-term objectives.
