The National Oil Corporation discusses with the UN mission the operational challenges facing the corporation.

Tripoli, November 18, 2025 (LANA) – The Chairman of the National Oil Corporation (NOC), Masoud Suleiman, discussed with the Deputy Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General and Resident Coordinator, Ulrika Richardson, the vital and pivotal role the NOC plays in supporting the Libyan economy.

During their meeting on Monday, the two sides also reviewed the operational challenges the NOC continues to face and the importance of ensuring regular financial allocations to enable it to continue its work, according to a statement issued by the UN mission on Tuesday.

The mission added that the meeting addressed ways to enhance sustainable operations from an efficiency and effectiveness perspective, including adopting more environmentally responsible production methods, as well as the importance of strengthening transparency in the management of oil resources and revenues.
