The President of the Presidential Council welcomes the signing of the unified development program agreement between the House of Representatives and the State Council.

Tripoli, November 18, 2025 (LANA) – President of the Presidential Council, Mohammed Al-Manfi, welcomed the signing of the Unified Development Program Agreement between the House of Representatives and the State Council, considering it an important step towards strengthening the path of consensus and financial stability, and consolidating the principle of institutional partnership in managing state affairs.

In a statement, a copy of which was received by WAL, the President stressed the importance of the Central Bank of Libya's commitment to the precise implementation of all the agreement's provisions, particularly those related to the legal controls governing letters of credit and the procedures adopted in the field of combating money laundering and the financing of terrorism. This, he said, ensures the integrity of financial operations, protects public funds, and guarantees the highest levels of efficiency, discipline, and transparency.

He added, "We will work to directly monitor the implementation of this agreement, which will enhance the principles of disclosure and sound planning, preserve monetary reserves, and safeguard the value of the Libyan dinar in support of good governance and sustainable development." He commended the national and international efforts that contributed to reaching and facilitating this agreement, emphasizing that its implementation constitutes a necessary step in light of the economic and political challenges facing the country.
