Dabaiba chairs meeting of trustees of the Economic and Social Development Fund

Tripoli, November 17, 2025 (LANA) – The Board of Trustees of the Economic and Social Development Fund held its regular meeting for 2025 on Monday, chaired by the Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdulhamid Dabaiba, to review the Fund's work plan, development projects, and investment programs.

The Fund's Director General presented a comprehensive overview, including the progress of project implementation, completion rates for financing and investment programs, a detailed review of approved expenditures during the past period, mechanisms for controlling and directing spending towards development priorities, and a discussion of current challenges and ways to improve decision-making within the Fund.

Dabaiba stressed the need to improve performance efficiency and expedite work on vital projects, emphasizing the importance of transparency in expenditures and the implementation of approved plans. He also emphasized the need to expand investment partnerships, particularly with the private sector, to positively impact the national economy and improve services provided to citizens.
