Abdel Sadek Meets with Algerian Ambassador.

Tripoli, November 17, 2025 (LANA) – Khalifa Abdel Sadek, Minister of Oil and Gas in the Government of National Unity, discussed with Abdelkrim Rekaibi, the Algerian Ambassador to Libya, the latest developments in Sonatrach's operations in Libya and opportunities to expand cooperation and future partnerships, particularly in the field of unconventional resources, in a way that serves the common interests of both countries.

During the meeting, held today, Monday, in Tripoli, both sides emphasized the deep fraternal relations between the two countries and their mutual commitment to strengthening cooperation in the energy sector.

The meeting also addressed Algeria's anticipated participation in the Ministry of Oil and Gas's events, most notably the Libya-Africa International Gas Forum, to be held next December, as well as the Libya Energy and Economy Summit, scheduled for January 24-26, 2026. These events are part of the Ministry's efforts to enhance regional cooperation and expand partnerships aimed at supporting the development of the energy sector in Libya.
