Cooperation agreement between the General Authority for Hajj and Umrah Affairs and the Saudi Ministry of Hajj to develop the Hajj system in Libya

Tripoli, November 9, 2025 (LANA) – The General Authority for Hajj and Umrah Affairs signed a cooperation agreement with the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah to develop the Hajj system in Libya. The signing took place on the sidelines of the Hajj and Umrah Conference and Exhibition in Jeddah.
According to a statement published by the General Authority for Hajj and Umrah Affairs on its official page, the agreement was signed by the head of the Libyan Authority, Ibrahim Al-Saghir, and his deputy, Sabri Al-Bu’aishi, on behalf of Libya, and by the Saudi Deputy Minister of Hajj, Abdul Fattah Mashat, on behalf of Saudi Arabia.
This agreement is a step towards strengthening cooperation between the two institutions and their commitment to improving services for Libyan pilgrims in a manner befitting the sanctity of the pilgrimage and the importance of the message.
