Al-Menfi Chairs Military Meeting.

Tripoli, November 9, 2025 (LANA) – The Presidential Council's media office reported that the Council's Chairman and Supreme Commander of the Libyan Army, Mohammed Al-Menfi, chaired an expanded meeting this morning in Tripoli with the Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity and Minister of Defense, Abdul Hamid Dbaiba; the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defense for Military Regions, Abdul Salam Zubi; the Chief of the General Staff, Lieutenant General Mohammed Al-Haddad; the Deputy Chief of Staff; the Commander of the Central Military Region; the Chief of Staff of the Ground Forces; the Head of Operations; the Director of the Supreme Commander's Office; and the Director of the Minister of Defense's Office.

The office explained that the meeting discussed the security situation and the restructuring of the military establishment at all levels, with a focus on defining tasks and developing competencies. The meeting also addressed the implementation mechanisms for activating the Military Retirement Law.

According to the office, Al-Menfi praised the Libyan army's efforts to support the pillars of security and stability in all directions, emphasizing the reorganization of the military institution, strengthening professionalism and discipline, developing competencies, and unifying administrative structures, in order to reinforce the important role of the Libyan army and its efforts to protect the state and its people's resources, as well as its role in cooperating with all security agencies.
